To be a strong fit for the Director of Technology opportunity, you will need:

• A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field

Due to Covid-19 safety precautions, a number of employees are working from their home offices. Until it's safe for us all to return to work, you will work from home most days. Training will be a combination of onsite and remote. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the company’s Information Technology applications, systems, and overall strategy. In addition to maintaining business-critical hardware, software, and data security, you will lead the development and implementation of new technology solutions to support strategic business goals.  We take our customer service reputation very seriously and a commitment to making our technology user-friendly for our employees and customers is critical. Quick question for you - click here  You and your team will be responsible for developing and maintaining the technology platforms to support the business, including multiple buildings, remote employees, and customer interactions. 

Daily, you will directly lead, coach and train a 3-person IT team supporting the helpdesk, architecture and data analysis. You will also own the relationships with existing software vendors as well as a 3rd party Managed Service Provider (MSP). • Partner with the senior leadership team to direct all aspects of the company’s technological development to support the company’s vision and strategic goals
• Work with Production and Operations to identify and implement technologies to improve their efficiency and effectiveness
• Work with Sales and Marketing teams to identify and implement technologies to drive a more frictionless customer experience
• Lead all hardware and software evaluations
• Manage relationships with critical software vendors
• Drive the specification, development, and implementation of customized ERP software solutions to improve operations performance
• Interface across all business and technology areas to communicate goals, directions, and roadmaps
• Manage technology budgets; work with Finance on budget planning
• Use feedback and performance to identify necessary improvements and adjustments to technology
• Manage, mentor and develop IT employees
• Analyze changes in needs of the operation and identify most effective IT solutions
• Ensure all technology practices adhere to regulatory standards
• Oversee security of systems, networks, and enterprise information
• Stay current with new and emerging technologies to facilitate further improvements
• Perform additional assignments as business needs arise
